The numbers of lone workers have been on the increase over the last few years and it is now estimated that there are in excess of 6 million lone workers in the UK. Advances in communications technology has played an obvious role in boosting these numbers more recently, as remote working becomes more commonplace in today’s technology-laden work environment.Of course working alone is not against the law and it is often perfectly safe to do so.
